Registration Fee includes:

• Name Badge
• Delegate Bag and Materials
• Access to Technical Sessions and Workshops (AFPs may not attend these)
• One official excursion on November 20, 2018 – supplementary fee applicable for Agra, Jaipur and Golf excursions
• AFP programs on Nov 19 & 21, 2018
• Lunches on November 19 & 21, 2018
• All social functions – Opening Ceremony, Welcome Reception, Theme Evening & Final Banquet

Terms & Conditions

• The above rates are inclusive of currently applicable GST at 18%. Any change is Government mandates taxes will be applicable and rates will be revised accordingly.
• Please note that registrations cannot be done without Member ID or Observer ID. AOP ID and AFP ID will be based on the member ID. For example, if your member ID is ID123, then the AOP/AFP ID would be ID123-AOP1 or AFP1, AOP2 or AFP2 and so on.

Important Information

To register for the 18^th General Assembly and the 68^th & 69^th Council Meetings of APAA, please complete the Registration Process online (recommended) or offline by downloading the forms on the website www.apaa2018.com. Registrations will be confirmed only on receipt of full payment of registration fees.

Each APAA member is entitled to bring two Accompanying Office Personnel (AOP).
“Accompanying Office Person”: a person who is not professionally qualified for membership of the Association, who provides support for the office of a Member and accompanies the Member to a Meeting.

Non-APAA members who have professional IP qualifications can attend the Council Meeting as Observers and must pay the Observer Registration Fee. Observers need to be sponsored by an APAA member who must complete the Observer Sponsorship Letter included in this brochure. Observer protocols are set out on this page and need to be correctly followed

There is one Registration Process for APAA Members, their Accompanying Family Person (AFP) and Accompanying Office Personnel (AOP).

There is a separate Registration Process for Observers and their Accompanying Family Person (OAFP)

All registrations will be confirmed by email, which registrants need to present at New Delhi.

On-site Registration

Registration at the Meeting venue will commence at 9:00 am and continue till 6:00 pm on Saturday, 17 November 2018, where participants may collect their access badges and delegate materials. Participants arriving later may register at the venue on all days of APAA 2018. Information and travel counters will be operational in the registration area at the venue for the duration of the meeting.

Observer Protocols

1. The Observer must:
   (a) hold professional qualifications which in the opinion of APAA Headquarters would entitle him/her to an APAA membership if the Observer was resident in the APAA region, or
   (b) be a practicing patent attorney in his/her own country, or connected with a relevant intellectual property office established by Convention or Treaty, as determined by APAA Headquarters.
2. Only one Observer and his/her family from each firm will be accepted before the early bird deadline. Additional observers from the same firm may apply but will only be accepted with early bird registration fee if there are vacancies after the early bird deadline.
3. The Observer arranges for the Observer Sponsorship Letter, which can be downloaded here. This form is to be completed, signed and dated by an APAA member sponsor.
4. The Observer sends this Sponsorship Letter with the other registration details to the Meeting Secretariat in New Delhi, India.
5. The Observer sends copies of the Sponsorship Letter to APAA Headquarters in Japan.

NOTE: A Sponsorship letter is only required when the applicant is to attend an APAA Meeting for the first time.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

• To cancel your registration, a written request for a refund must be received at registration@apaa2018.com. No oral cancellations will be entertained
• The refund policy is as follows:
  – Till August 15, 2018: Cancellation fee of US$ 200, less applicable GST
  – Between August 16 & October 15, 2018: 50% of the registration fee, less applicable GST
  – October16, 2018, onwards: No refund
  – The date of receipt of the communication requesting cancellation will be used for the calculation of the refund amount
  – Refunds will be credited only to the account from where the registration fee was received
  – All refunds will be made post closure of the General Assembly and Council Meetings

If you are remitting the funds via bank transfer, please add US$ 50 to the total amount to cover administrative charges. Please email a copy of your payment advice obtained from your bank to registration@apaa2018.com. This is necessary to identify and confirm your payment
